Here’s a yummy Hawaiian Style Kona coffee recipe I found
on a blog and you can try it with the kids.
It will take 10 minutes to prepare and 20 minutes to cook so give
yourself a half hour.
You’re going to need 2/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter
or margarine, 2 eggs, 1-1/2 Tbs. instant Kona Coffee*, 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1-1/4
cups flour, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces and 3/4 cup
chopped pecans. *(I'll send you some Kona Instant Coffee if you go to the website and send me a message)
Ready to go?
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F. Grease an 8 inch square
pan. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the sugar and
butter. Now add eggs, instant coffee, and vanilla; mix it really
well. Then sift the flour and baking soda; mix into butter
mixture. Stir in the chocolate and pecans. Pour into prepared
pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Let it
cool and cut into bars. Makes 16 servings. Get more at cookinghawaiianstyle.com
